Carine’s glass objects show porous, brittle, fragile and transparent, sometimes even sugary in their details.
The seemingly fragile glass – in reality, it is strong – refers in form to her main sources of inspiration: organic archetypes such as corals and rocks that take years, sometimes centuries, to take their final shape.
Carine cunningly masters the difficult technique of pâte-de-verre. Her years of experimentation eventually bore exceptionally beautiful fruit.
Her glass objects possess great beauty through the simplicity of form, color and transparency.
