Glass, a Walloon tradition

The Glass Museum of Charleroi, born of a joint effort between the Federation of the Glass Industry and the City of Charleroi is characterized by a particularly specific character in Wallonia. This pre-eminent meeting place between the past and the future of glass as a material, is also the living memory of the history of glass in Wallonia, whose richness is an integral part of the region’s identity. Not only preserving this history but also upgrading it are the main tasks of the institution.
