Studio visit Rini Ronckers,

The atelier committee would like to invite you to the atelier visit at Rini Ronckers in Roermond.

During the visit, Rini will talk about her sources of inspiration, how her work is created, and what techniques she works with. Also how she has developed in these techniques. Of course she will also show her work. The techniques Rini uses a lot are casting, engraving, copper foil technique. Sometimes a combination of these techniques. She also likes to combine disparate materials in her work. All this to tell her story and to make people pause for a moment with their thoughts on the story. The studio visit by Rini Ronckers takes place at ECI Cultuurfabriek.

We would like to suggest that you combine the studio visit to Rini Ronckers with a more extensive visit to Roermond. Roermond is a city with a rich past in monumental glass, but also in modern glass the city has much to offer.
The St. Christopher Cathedral has a selection of special modern windows, including those by the famous Roermond family of glaziers Nicolas, by Annemieke Punt and some other contemporary (international) glass artists. The cathedral is open between 2 and 5 p.m.
The old studio of the Nicolas family houses the well-known gallery of Mariska Dirkx. Currently on view there is the exhibition “Nature Calls” with work by Richard Meitner and Sabine Lintzen, among others. Visit by appointment tel 06 54927759.

The cathedral, gallery and ECI are within walking distance of each other and NS railway station Roermond and at the same time offer a nice city walk through the old center.
