‘To design and create the membership project this year was a challenge for me. I usually incorporate into my objects a number of shapes that somehow make or seek a connection. With this project, I wanted to bring together the idea of communication between two or more individuals in a form, an object. Undoubtedly such a “fusing” form, in this case a kind of growing communication tool – also gives rise to the idea of a “Selbstgespraech” (self-talk). I chose to model the shape in wax and execute it in the lost wax technique. The colorless, semi-transparent glass creates a contrasting interplay of illuminating form and negative space.’
